Founders
Jason Mehta

Jason is driven to bring more technology professionals together in the Clarington region, provide support to local businesses, and also bring technology awareness to youth within the community who would not have otherwise had the opportunity.
Before commencing the inception of the club Jason co-founded and was the President of the Toastmaster’s Club at Sheridan Oakville College which assisted and continues to support many technology students in their professional development.
Growing up in Mississauga, Jason relocated to Bowmanville with his wife and Golden Retriever puppy two years ago. Since arrival in Bowmanville, he now has a son and has joined on as a mentor with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Clarington.
Jason envisions ClaringTECH to always remain a free community group, driven by the people, with the people, and for the people of the municipality.
Ian Mackovski

Ian works at Deloitte as a Project Manager implementing enterprise technologies for the private and public sectors across Canada. He’s fueled by innovation, sustainability and a general love for making the world a better place with each project.
His journey started in entrepreneurship, starting a B2C wellness apparel brand, called FLAG (Forever Learning And Growing). It was founded to bring people together by normalizing life’s struggles and advocating for the idea that we are all here to support one another.
Since moving to Bowmanville he’s been passionate about giving back to the community and has been volunteering with the David Suzuki Foundation bringing awareness to local pollinator gardens along with helping out at the Clarington East Food Bank.
ClaringTECH is the next step in bringing like-minded people together and he looks forward to growing our local community.
